The anticipated salary range for this position is between $130,500 and $145,000, contingent upon experience, along with a thorough benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The role requires a deep mastery of skills and extensive knowledge in the field to effectively manage the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed modifications of plant-specific nuclear licensed operations training programs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Enhances station and personnel performance through targeted training initiatives. Coordinates and delivers performance-based licensed or non-licensed training programs as dictated by the user community, adhering to Constellation's TSD model and departmental protocols while applying the necessary phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Ensures that training programs remain up-to-date, integrating insights from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, Constellation NERs, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices, along with updates from plant design changes, procedure revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness assessments.
- Develops trainee assessments and conducts evaluations across classroom, laboratory, on-the-job training, and simulator settings as appropriate, while also facilitating counseling sessions for trainees, assessing outcomes, and recommending or creating tailored training programs.
- Provides support to the station and fleet in business initiatives, project management, refueling outages, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
- Engages in NRC, INPO, and management audits, preparing responses to any audit findings.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of plant operations and relevant skills and techniques necessary for the development and delivery of effective, high-quality training.
- Oversees the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports essential for documenting training program activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of a previous or current senior reactor operator license OR
- Previous reactor operator experience with a minimum of 4 years in the industry (must achieve SRO certification within 18 months) OR
- Holding an SRO Certification with at least 4 years of related industry experience and 6 months of demonstrated teaching experience in LORT or ILT.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science, engineering, or education/training.
- Previous or current senior reactor operator license OR
- An SRO Certification with 6+ years of related industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching experience in LORT or ILT.
