About the Role

Talen Energy is seeking an experienced Nuclear Plant Operations Leader to join our team as a Senior Outage Scheduler. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated refueling outage schedules for Unit 1 and Unit 2. Your expertise in nuclear plant operations, combined with your leadership skills, will enable you to effectively coordinate with various departments to ensure the successful execution of outage activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement outage strategies and schedules that align with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with maintenance production, engineering, and other affected work groups to ensure a well-defined balance between successful on-line and outage activities.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to discipline schedulers to ensure they understand performance standards and periodically evaluate them in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain and improve qualifications and proficiency for duties and responsibilities associated with outage scheduling.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive knowledge of nuclear plant operations, including a Senior Reactor Operator license, Shift Technical Advisor certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with NIMS and P-6 processes.
