Senior Human Resources Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Director to join our team at Marriott International Inc. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Human Resource Office, including recruitment, total compensation, and training and development.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 3 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in human resources, business administration, or a related major, with 1 year of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field.
Core Work Activities
- Managing Recruitment and Hiring Process: Assist in interviewing and hiring Human Resource employee team members, establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources, attend job fairs, network with local organizations, oversee candidate identification and selection process, provide subject matter expertise to property managers, partner with vendor partners, and perform quality control on candidate identification/selection.
- Administering and Educating Employee Benefits: Work with unemployment services providers, prepare and distribute unemployment claim activity reports, attend unemployment hearings, ensure departmental resources are available for administering employee benefits, and manage workers' compensation claims.
- Maintaining Employee Relations: Assist in maintaining effective employee communication channels, review progressive discipline documentation, utilize an open-door policy, ensure employee issues are referred to the Department Manager, partner with Loss Prevention, and communicate performance expectations.
- Managing Legal and Compliance Practices: Ensure employee files contain required employment paperwork, maintain compliance with procedures for accessing, reviewing, and auditing employee files, facilitate random, reasonable belief, and post-accident drug testing processes, communicate property rules and regulations, conduct periodic claims reviews, represent Human Resources at the property Safety Committee, manage Workers Compensation claims, and oversee selection/non-selection and offer processes.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $78,500 - $101,300.
