Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist will provide individualized support to learners with communicative needs, collaborating with school personnel to achieve student speech-language goals and objectives. This role requires adherence to regulatory standards and the Teacher Code of Ethics.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct evaluations for Part C and Part B assessments, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated goals and outcomes for IEPs/IFSPs.
  • Educate parents and others regarding service provision, providing specialized instruction as outlined in IEPs/IFSPs.
  • Consult with parents, service providers, and community agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Prepare individualized activity schedules, utilizing evidence-based practices and adapting materials for children with disabilities.
  • Schedule interventions using various service delivery models, participating physically with students in activities and planning continuous evaluation of progress.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, and inservices to develop plans and provide information regarding student goals/outcomes.
  • Provide training to related service personnel and parents in the area of student disabilities.
  • Maintain records and reports, making referrals to other professionals and agencies as needed.
  • Encourage and instruct parents and educational staff in methods to assist their child, collaborating with Special Education Staff about student needs and progress.
Qualifications
  • Current Minnesota teaching license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology/CCC SLP.
  • Experience working with students with diverse communication needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work under supervision and adapt to program and student needs.
