Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including conducting physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications. The candidate will also be expected to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, and to provide education and support to patients and their families. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for mentoring and coaching nursing staff, and for participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in nursing and a current Arizona license with prescriptive authority. The candidate will also have a minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse, and will be certified as a Nurse Practitioner by a national certifying agency. Additionally, the candidate will have a strong background in clinical research and evidence-based practice, and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
