Job Responsibilities

Our Job Corps programs provide services that help young people succeed in school, obtain good jobs, excel in their chosen fields, and serve as contributing members of their communities. As an Instructor at Equus Workforce Solutions, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students enrolled in GED preparation, TABE reading and math preparation classes, and high school diploma programs. Your main duties include:

  • Delivering Instructional Excellence: Provide professional-level instruction in various academic subjects, ensuring students receive a comprehensive education.
  • Maintaining Accurate Records: Keep accurate attendance records, ensuring seamless tracking of student progress.
  • Engaging Trainees: Actively engage trainees in the learning process, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Participating in Team Meetings: Participate in center team meetings and staff training sessions, staying informed about program developments and best practices.
  • Ensuring a Safe Environment: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, prioritizing the well-being of students and staff.
  • Supporting Student Progress: Assist with student retention and progress evaluations, providing targeted support to ensure students meet their goals.
  • Facilitating Communication: Facilitate communication with center departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and information sharing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Certification: Be certified to teach in the state where the center is located.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Mathematical Concepts: Demonstrate the ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Exhibit excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, driving innovative solutions and program improvements.
