Aledo Independent School District is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assess students with speech, voice, or language disorders and develop individualized treatment plans to address their needs.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with students' ability to derive full benefit from the educational program.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' communication development.
- Conduct regular progress monitoring and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and make data-driven decisions to adjust interventions as needed.
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA).
- Or, Bachelor's degree and valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate.
- Ability to use accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders and conditions.
- Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditions.
- Ability to instruct and manage student behavior.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- One year supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience.
