Site Safety and Health Officer

The Korte Company is seeking a highly skilled Site Safety and Health Officer to join our team. As a key member of our construction projects, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily safety inspections and document findings
- Investigate incidents and complete required reports
- Maintain safety reference materials on the jobsite
- Attend project meetings and ensure subcontractor compliance with safety regulations
- Provide new employee safety orientation and lead on-site safety meetings
- Perform project hazard analysis and maintain hazard communication programs
- Verify safety training of all workers
Requirements:
- 30 hour OSHA certification training within the last 5 years
- Proof of 8 hours or more of formal safety training each year for the last 5 years
- First Aid and CPR certification
- 24 hour Competent Person for Fall Protection training
- Certificate of training on excavations, scaffolding, fall protection, hazardous energy, confined space, health hazard recognition, and personal protective equipment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, multi-tasking, communication, and conflict management skills
- Computer knowledge in sending emails, daily reports, and construction look-ahead schedules
