Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Affairs Officer to join our team at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in promoting community development and financial inclusion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and host outreach and training events to educate bankers and community stakeholders on the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and community development lending, investment, and services.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to OCC-supervised banks on CRA and community development matters.
  • Support OCC supervisory teams on examinations by reviewing banks' CRA strategic plans and community development data.
  • Research and analyze community development and financial services needs, and develop recommendations for OCC initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community development organizations and other public interest groups.
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V (or GS-13) band level.
  • Experience in organizing outreach, conducting training events, and advising on CRA, community development, and financial inclusion programs/initiatives.
  • Experience in supporting financial institutions' retail financial services or programs designed to promote fair access to financial services and increase financial inclusion.
