Compassus is a leading provider of palliative care services, and we are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. This role will involve providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of clinical practice guidelines.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in palliative care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and chaplains, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct routine and emergency assessments, including physical examinations, laboratory tests, and diagnostic imaging studies.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and radiology tests within scope of professional practice.
  • Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, to the extent delegated and licensed.
  • Develop and maintain accurate patient records, charts, and documents to support sound medical practice and reimbursement for services provided.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection and analysis, to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission requirements.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • An active and unencumbered CNS or Nurse Practitioner license in state of employment.
  • Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult, Family, Acute, or Geriatric.
  • Active NPI number.
  • Maintain active DEA certification if state allows prescription of controlled substances by APPs.
  • Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care is preferred but not required.
Salary and Benefits
