Surgical Technologist

Job Summary
Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Operating Room. This role requires a proficient knowledge and skills necessary to carry out delegated tasks associated with the safe and efficient operating room support functions and related procedures.

The ideal candidate will work independently, exercising sound judgment, and report observations and patient problems to the licensed nurse or surgeon. Additionally, this position provides mentoring and guidance for Surgical Technologist positions, utilizing skills and knowledge to train and orient others.

This role is responsible for assigned non-nursing functions and practices relationship-centered care in concert with Houston Methodist values. The Surgical Technologist must maintain the highest standard of sterile technique during pre and post procedures, prepare sterile dressings and/or immobilization devices, and clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization.

The successful candidate will be able to facilitate open, professional communication, promote a positive work environment, and actively assist interprofessional healthcare teams to achieve optimal department results. They must also demonstrate proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.

We are offering a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. This role also offers excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
