Job Title: Labor and Employment Secretary

Adams & Martin Group is seeking a highly skilled Labor and Employment Secretary to join their team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting shareholders and partners, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize and execute tasks quickly and accurately, ensuring timely completion of projects and tasks.
  • Format and set up documents, including pleadings, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents, to meet the needs of attorneys and paralegals.
  • Prepare shell documents for attorneys in preparation for discovery, orders, motions, and trial documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Filing litigation documents with state and federal courts, requiring knowledge of electronic filing procedures.
  • Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy and quality of documents.
  • Update and maintain files in a timely manner, ensuring organization and accessibility.
  • Time entry, processing client bills, conducting client conflict checks, and transcribing dictation to support the team.
  • Maintain calendars with litigation dates and deadlines, as well as other necessary dates, to ensure timely preparation and execution.
  • Review vendor invoices and request checks for payment in a timely manner, ensuring efficient financial management.
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals in preparation for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, providing support and coordination as needed.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience supporting shareholders and partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of electronic filing procedures and ability to learn new software and systems.
