Primary Role: To manufacture and package chemical products in accordance with specified guidelines while ensuring a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, operate, and oversee machinery utilized in the production and packaging of products.
2. Accurately measure, weigh, mix, and process chemical components following established protocols to produce final products.
3. Supervise batches for quality assurance and safety standards, including Critical Control Points and Control Points.
4. Maintain accurate and legible records of production, sanitation, and testing data.
5. Collect samples of products for quality assessments.
6. Fill containers with chemical products intended for sale or internal use.
7. Sanitize and clean equipment, tools, and work areas in accordance with company policies.
8. Promptly report any issues related to food safety, physical safety, and product quality.
9. Uphold a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly.
· Capability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
· Must be able to climb stairs and ladders frequently.
· Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment for prolonged durations.
· Competence in safely operating production-related machinery, including forklifts, agitators, homogenizers, and drum tippers.
· Ability to perform visual and olfactory inspections.
Additional Qualifications:
· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
· Familiarity with company policies, practices, and procedures.
· Ability to perform a variety of tasks with individual initiative.
· Capable of collaborating with colleagues and supervisors across all departments.
· Adherence to company policies regarding food safety, chemical safety, harassment, discrimination, and general employee conduct.
· Willingness to undertake tasks not explicitly outlined in this job description to meet departmental or company needs.
Education and Experience:
· Proficient in reading and mathematics at a high school graduate level.
· Forklift certification is advantageous.
· A minimum of two years of experience in chemical or food processing is preferred.
· Training in GMP and HACCP is a plus.
