Job Summary

Monument Health is seeking a Pharmacy Student to join our team. As a Pharmacy Student, you will assist pharmacists in daily pharmaceutical care by preparing medications in a complete and timely manner and in accordance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications.
  • Complete billing within the appropriate time frame, ensuring accurate charges with correct date of service.
  • Label and package medications appropriately.
  • Prepare medications in a timely manner to expedite delivery to the patient.
  • Operate automated technology (Pyxis, carousel, compounders, etc.) in accordance with department standards and expectations.
  • Perform aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures and other sterile dosage forms with the appropriate aseptic technique.

Requirements

  • Certification - Registration within 30 days of hire - South Dakota Board of Pharmacy.
  • Preferred: Experience - 1+ years of Pharmaceutical Experience, Education - Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
