Job Description

We are seeking a Patient Advocacy Specialist to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Patient Advocacy Specialist, you will be responsible for advocating for patients' rights and interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate for patients' rights and interests
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet individual patient needs
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure effective communication
  • Provide education to patients and families on health status expectations and locus of control

Requirements

  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days
  • 1 year directly related experience
  • Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo (non-essential)
