About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hematology Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory services team, you will be responsible for supervising and directing the Hematology Section and the Point of Care Testing program. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to make a real impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct the Hematology Section and the Point of Care Testing program
  • Assist in problem research and resolution for customer service (physician, medical office and hospital staff primarily) problems in the functional areas of Hematology and point of care testing
  • Provide skilled care and case management to patients/families in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and accepted professional standards of practice
  • Communicate and document observations and assessments, and promote and maintain the health of individuals through direct care, teaching, counseling, and appropriate rehabilitative measures
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved, accredited school of professional nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Minimum of one (1) year Medical/Surgical nursing experience required; home care/hospice experience preferred
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills required
  • Current driver's license, a good driving record, and reliable transportation required
