Sign-On Bonus: $1200
This bonus is awarded after completing one year of employment.
Position Overview for Material Logistics Specialist:
The Material Logistics Specialist is responsible for efficiently loading, unloading, and transporting materials/products within the facility, ensuring prompt and accurate access for shipping and production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize lifting equipment such as forklifts, cranes, hoists, and pallet jacks to manage material handling tasks.
- Carefully position lifting devices around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes to secure materials for transport to designated locations.
- Interpret work orders or follow verbal instructions to determine materials or containers that require movement.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety protocols.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in optimal working condition.
- Coordinate with team members to facilitate material handling operations.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Certification to operate a forklift and a valid unrestricted driver's license are required.
Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma or GED is necessary.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Work Environment:
- Work is conducted in a machine shop setting where dust, grease, and metal shavings are common.
- Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and steel-toed shoes/boots is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
