We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures at a technical level, applying principles of radiation protection, and providing diagnostic radiology services for patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiographic procedures, including positioning and technique selection, to produce high-quality images.
- Apply principles of radiation protection to ensure safe and effective equipment operation.
- Provide diagnostic radiology services for patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Process patient requests in Epic and required MGH information systems, ensuring timely completion of patient processing.
- Provide patient care and education, recognizing patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiating life support measures.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency equipment location and code alert procedure.
- Exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures, demonstrating anatomy under investigation through proper patient positioning and technique selection.
- Assist physicians with imaging procedures and administration of contrast media.
- Completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school.
- Active Massachusetts license to perform radiography with preferably one year of experience.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible with successful completion of the registry within 3 months of hire.
- Effective verbal, electronic, and written communications skills using the English language.
- High level of service delivery, with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
- Problem-solving skills for treatment planning and execution, taking into consideration patient's age, psychosocial, and cultural background.
- Computer proficiency, with ability to learn new software.
