At Monte Vista Optometry (G), we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Optical Assistant to join our team. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our optometrists in delivering top-notch eye care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter our office.
  • Pre-Testing: Conduct thorough pre-testing procedures, including visual acuity, eye movement, and optical coherence tomography (OCT), to gather accurate data for our optometrists.
  • Documentation: Accurately and efficiently document patient results into our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Contact Lens Education: Educate patients on proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
  • Assisting Optometrists: Assist our optometrists during examinations as needed, ensuring seamless and efficient care.
  • Frame and Lens Selection: Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that meet their needs and preferences.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of prior optometric technician experience preferred.
  • Skills: Adaptable, flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and a professional appearance.
