IT Instructor

Cape Fear Community College is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Information Technology courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to students.

The PT Instructor, Information Technology will be responsible for teaching a variety of IT courses, including hardware, software, security, networking, and operating systems. The instructor will also be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, assessing student learning, and maintaining accurate records.

• Teach IT courses to students, including lectures, demonstrations, and laboratory exercises
• Develop and implement curriculum for IT courses
• Assess student learning and maintain accurate records
• Stay current with industry developments and advancements in IT
• Participate in staff development programs and workshops

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Industry certifications preferred
• Experience in an instructional setting as a tutor or teacher
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The PT Instructor, Information Technology will work in a fast-paced academic environment with a diverse student population. The instructor will be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
