Job Summary

As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist at Dairy Farmers of America, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This includes performing custodial duties, such as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors, as well as maintaining restrooms, locker rooms, and breakrooms in a sanitary manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean internal building appearance through good housekeeping and organization
  • Follow work schedules to complete all required cleaning and sanitizing tasks
  • Perform custodian duties, including using equipment such as floor sweepers and vacuum cleaners
  • Maintain all restrooms, locker rooms, and breakrooms in a sanitary manner
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify appropriate contacts to reorder as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of building and outdoor facilities
  • Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
  • Use chemicals to sanitize and clean the facility
  • Perform related duties as requested by environmental health and safety, maintenance, management, or other staff members

Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Exposure to chemicals and cleaning products
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
