Lead Cybersecurity Process Engineer

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Process Engineer to enhance our Cyber Mission division. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to one of the most extensive enterprise-level engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This position requires a commitment of 1880 hours annually, with responsibilities carried out at a designated customer site. As a Senior Cybersecurity Process Engineer, your focus will be on delivering process engineering support to a cybersecurity operations unit. Your primary duties will encompass:
- Assessing and refining organizational processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conducting in-depth technical research and analysis to inform decision-making.
- Drafting responses for government-mandated high-priority data requests, aimed at illustrating strategy alignment, resource distribution, discrepancies, gaps, and organizational achievements.
- Performing comprehensive reviews and detailed evaluations of systems engineering documentation.
- Defining, reviewing, proposing, and developing enhancements to processes.
- Overseeing the creation, modification, and implementation of process governance and necessary systems engineering documentation, while reporting findings to leadership.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Education from an accredited institution is required. Alternatively, four years of additional relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in Process Improvement on programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity, including five (5) years of experience in facilitation, training, methodology development, and evaluation within the last ten (10) years.
- Proficiency in process engineering, operational procedures, and workflows/requirements analysis.
- Experience in documenting processes and implementing process improvements.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Confluence, and documentation management systems.
- Eligibility for TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.
- Experience in gathering functional requirements.
- Background in the Cybersecurity domain is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to engage with government and contract stakeholders.
- Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation abilities.
