As a key member of our Read/Write Channel Integration team, you will play a critical role in the development and integration of advanced read/write channel features to achieve Hard Disk Drive (HDD) capacity gains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and integration of advanced read/write channel features to achieve HDD capacity gains
  • Ability to understand and optimize state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms within the HDD recording system
  • Perform failure analysis (FA) of read/write issues, throughout a HDD product lifecycle
  • Ability to communicate concepts and results with technical leads, management, and external engineering community effectively
  • Work with team members, vendor technical support, and our internal Western Digital product development teams in a proactive and productive manner
Requirements
  • Minimum of Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related
  • 15+ years of HDD industry expertise
