About the Department

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, is a leading academic department with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and research. Our department operates across five sites throughout San Francisco and offers a fully-accredited five-year Residency Training Program and fellowship programs in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Laryngology, Pediatric Otolaryngology, and Head and Neck Oncology.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center
  • Oversee clinical quality and operations, research, and education programs
  • Recruit and evaluate faculty members
  • Manage departmental quality and safety initiatives
Requirements
  • MD degree or equivalent degree
  • Completed accredited residency program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
  • Board Certified in the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
  • Experience and interest in trauma care
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience as faculty in an OHNS residency program
  • Experience and interest in managing departmental quality and safety
  • Active CA medical license
Preferred Qualification
  • Demonstrated leadership in educational administration and/or site directorship for an OHNS residency program
