We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our pulmonary clinic, you will provide clinical support to medical providers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical support to medical providers in a pulmonary/sleep medicine physician practice setting
• Triage patient and referring physician phone calls, rooming patients in exam rooms, taking vital signs, collecting and documenting pertinent patient information
• Conduct pulmonary function and other testing consistent with scope of practice, training, and experience
• Provide patients with prescribed equipment and supplies, facilitate CPAP therapy with durable medical equipment providers, and provide related patient/family education
• Coordinate care with other providers, including DME providers, diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation services
Requirements
• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent certificate; Bachelor's degree preferred
• New York State Respiratory Therapist license with current registration, including credentials received prior to 9/1993, or New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician (RTT) license and National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) active credentials as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Minimum 3 years respiratory therapy experience preferred; 1 year pulmonary function testing experience preferred; Pulmonary Function Technology certification preferred
