Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician 4 to join our team at UHealth Kendall. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in preparing medications for patients, resolving complex problems, and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains accurate patient records.
  • Fills orders and prepares labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.
  • Organizes and coordinates the effective use of personnel and materials to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Collaborates with department leadership on the daily management of pharmacy technicians and ensures proper coverage in all areas.
  • Responsible for hazardous, specialized, or advanced level compounding, including chemotherapy, epidural, ophthalmology, CADD pumps, and TPNs.
  • Develops, organizes, and delivers technician continuing education topics and courses.
  • Participates in decision-making activities related to evaluating and acquiring pharmaceuticals and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • State of FL registration; Certification in relevant specialty or field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Skill in data entry with minimal errors.
  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports, and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
