Job Title: Child Care Assistant
Job Description: The Child Care Assistant position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with coursework in childcare, psychology, or education preferred. The candidate should have at least six months of experience working or volunteering with children with disabilities. Experience in a classroom setting is a plus. Additionally, the candidate must pass a District proficiency test in English usage, language arts, and mathematics, or pass the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), or have completed two years (60 semester units) of college. A valid First Aid and CPR certificate is required.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the care and supervision of children with disabilities in a classroom setting.
- Support the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Coursework in childcare, psychology, or education preferred.
- At least six months of experience working or volunteering with children with disabilities.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
