We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Access Dubuque. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Check-in and Registration: Accurately check-in patients, collect demographic information, and update patient records in a timely and efficient manner.
- Appointment Scheduling: Modify appointment status, record arrival and seen times, and assist with scheduling appointments as needed.
- Pre-Appointment Paperwork: Assist patients with pre-appointment paperwork, including demographic forms, health history forms, and sliding fee documentation.
- Financial Transactions: Collect and accurately record all applicable fees prior to patient appointments, and inform patients of their sliding fee scale discount.
- End-of-Day Procedures: Perform end-of-day procedures, including printing reports and balancing cash boxes.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate by providing resources to patients who have identified barriers to care.
- Continuous Quality Improvement: Work towards continuous quality improvement by staying current with changing technology and processes.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Experience: One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in medical office software and technology.
