Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to lead the financial and operational elements of our Digital Platforms and Engineering P&L. As a key member of our Finance community, you will partner with business leads to size, implement, and evangelize value-driving investments in emerging technologies, such as Generative AI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with DPE and SSO teams to provide financial planning and analysis, analytics, insight generation, and digital ecosystem guidance.
  • Collaborate across DPE, SSO, Corporate FP&A, and Group FP&A to advance the Company's digital growth strategies.
  • Lead key financial processes, including the Annual Operating Plan, long-range strategic plan, month-end/quarter-end close cycles, and management reporting cadences.
  • Coach, mentor, and empower a team of Senior Financial Analysts to advance their professional development.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to interpret and vet accounting guidance in support of long-term CapEx versus OpEx strategies.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and modeling as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 8+ years of finance experience in a complex, multinational environment, with direct management experience and experience partnering with leaders.
  • Strong and persuasive communication skills, with credibility within a dynamic, challenging environment.
  • Demonstrated focus on process improvements, challenging the status quo.
  • Ability to translate data and metrics into predictable, value-add business insight.
  • Professional maturity and communication style to interact directly with leadership across functions.
  • Strong results orientation, bias for action.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Hyperion, and digital tools, such as PowerBI.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
