Key Responsibilities
  • Assign and direct nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments, prioritizing population-specific care.
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify areas for improvement, implementing changes as needed.
  • Respond to patient and family concerns, addressing issues through established channels.
  • Contribute to the hiring, training, and development of staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensure.
  • One year of registered nurse experience, preferably in an ICU setting.
Physical Demands
  • Constant use of speech to communicate with patients, families, and staff.
  • Constant standing and walking, with occasional lifting and moving of patients.
  • Frequent use of vision, depth perception, and hearing to assess patients and respond to alarms.
  • Occasional use of smell to detect odors and identify potential health risks.
Work Environment
