Saw Operator

The Cut Off (Saw) Operator plays a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the efficient operation of saw equipment and contributing to uptime, product quality, and overall mill performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate saw equipment to cut and process steel tubes
• Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Perform quality checks on cut products to ensure compliance with specifications
• Collaborate with mill operators and other team members to achieve production goals
• Assist in mill changeovers and equipment repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience in a steel manufacturing facility
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in reading measuring devices
• Direct experience operating and managing tube mills and related equipment
• Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Forklift and crane certification required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
• Stand for extended periods and work in various environmental conditions
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements include eye protection, hearing protection, and foot protection
