Job Overview

Excellence Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and ambitious individual to join our team as a School Counselor. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and social-emotional development of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address academic concerns, collaborating with families and school staff to develop targeted intervention strategies.
  • Provide therapeutic services to students and families, promoting emotional and behavioral well-being.
  • Collaborate with school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based programs to address students' social-emotional needs.
  • Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and community organizations to mobilize resources and support student success.

Requirements:

  • Current CT Certification/Licensure (LCSW) or reciprocity from another state in the equivalent area.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an elementary school program.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Demonstrated strong behavioral and therapeutic skills.
