Job Summary

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant PRN to join our team at Nova Medical Centers.

The successful candidate will provide physical therapy services as assigned and directed under the supervision of a physical therapist, concurrent with our physical therapy treatment philosophy.

This is a 1099/Independent Contractor role, which allows individuals the opportunity to dictate their own availability to accept work assignments.

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist Assistant PRN will be responsible for:

  • Providing physical therapy services as assigned and directed under the supervision of a physical therapist.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and accommodated working environment.
  • Developing knowledge of evidence-based practice and demonstrating clinical knowledge of physical therapy services.
  • Performing assigned responsibilities from supervising physical therapist that are consistent with safe, legal, and ethical physical therapy practice.

The Physical Therapist Assistant PRN will also be responsible for:

  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Coordinating with Supervising Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services as specified in the plan of care.
  • Meeting with the Physical Therapy team members and/or other staff on a regular basis to discuss quality of patient care, procedures, records, review of policies, attend training sessions, educational seminars and other issues as required.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be a graduate of a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program.
  • Have current state licensure or the ability to obtain.
  • Be CPR Certified or the ability to obtain.
  • Be authorized to work in the USA.
