Role Summary:

The Youth Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering support services to young individuals. This includes helping them articulate personal, vocational, and educational aspirations through a person-centered approach that fosters recovery and opens doors to new opportunities. The specialist will also engage in outreach, advocacy, and supportive services tailored to the needs of assigned youth. Collaboration with team members is essential to ensure that the voices of youth are integral to service planning. The role involves facilitating youth-centered support groups and advocating for the needs of youth within the broader community.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and values of Community Access Inc.
  • Applicants must be young adults with experience in receiving services from child-focused behavioral health systems.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Successful candidates must pass fingerprinting and clearance by the relevant state authority.
  • A strong commitment to recovery-oriented practices is essential.
  • Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are preferred.
  • Ability to work in various community settings using public transportation is necessary.
