Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Materials Coordinator to join our team at MTSS. This is a challenging role that requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

About the Role
  • This position is responsible for managing the flow of materials within the Business Unit (BU). The ideal candidate will have previous experience in materials management and be proficient in data entry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, verify, process and route all materials into the facility and off-site facilities, entering receipts in the Materials Management software system.
  • Notify the Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies between materials and shipping documentation.
  • Prepare shipments for outbound delivery, including necessary documentation.
  • Manage the Returned Goods process according to the SOP.
  • Deliver stock to designated staging areas for departments.
  • Store warehoused items in designated storage areas, rotating stock based on receipt date and expiration dates to ensure proper rotation and use before expiration.
  • Note short-dated materials upon receipt (less than 30 days of shelf life) and report to the Warehouse Manager for possible actions.
  • Assist with cycle counts and full physical inventory.
  • Comply with applicable policies and procedures, including Materials and Services Management, Human Resources, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance, OSHA, CLIA, etc.
  • Analyze current procedures and make recommendations for improvements to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Support order entry, picking, packing, and delivery of internal and external orders as needed.
  • Support record storage and retrieval as needed.
  • Support preparation, receipt, and distribution of internal, inbound, and external mail as needed.
Requirements
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Six months of previous materials management experience is preferred.
  • Data entry experience is also a plus.
Additional Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to operate a computer, printer, and barcode scanner.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to operate materials handling equipment as needed.
What We Offer

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits package and opportunities for career advancement.
