About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applied Scientist to join our team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge audio and video solutions, leveraging the latest machine learning and signal processing techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop novel audio and video processing algorithms and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into real-time applications
  • Contribute to the development of state-of-the-art speech and audio signal processing techniques
  • Work on real-world problems, such as speech enhancement, voice analytics, and real-time transcription
Requirements
  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in machine learning, audio signal processing, and/or speech processing
  • Expertise in neural deep learning methods and programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
  • Track record of publication and patents in the field
  • Ability to travel internationally 2-3 times a year
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in applied science roles
  • Professional software development experience for real-time/low latency features
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Track record of publishing state-of-the-art papers and delivering results
