About the JobWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN to work in our Endoscopy Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing endoscopy procedures, providing care for patients undergoing various treatments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Manage endoscopy procedures, including polypectomy, foreign body retrieval, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and EGD with dilation
- Provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as Barrett's esophagus treatment
- Work in a facility with 3 procedure rooms, 8 pre-op beds, and 4 post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) beds
- Utilize Cerner for electronic medical records
- Collaborate with a charge nurse and endoscopy techs for room turnovers
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including one weekend per month and one holiday during the contract duration
- Float as needed to an outpatient surgery center or pre/post-surgical inpatient area
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 1 year of experience in Endoscopy
- Experience with ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
- Completion of procedure sedation class
- Completion of modules prior to the assignment
- Completion of the Dysphagia (DYS) Exam (Basic) with a pass within 24-48 hours prior to acceptance
