The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Assembler III to join our team at Rightstone in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our Telecommunications department, you will be responsible for assembling and soldering small parts, cutting and modifying plastic components, and performing point-to-point wiring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and solder small parts to precision standards
  • Cut and modify plastic parts to meet product specifications
  • Perform point-to-point wiring and soldering to IPC610 class II standards
  • Read and follow ISO9000 work instructions to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Work on multiple product types and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Perform quality and test units to confirm work has been done according to work instructions
  • Escalate issues to Team Lead or Supervisor and assist with on-the-job training for new employees
  • Enter completed work into computer tracking system and run basic tests to confirm work has been done properly
  • Program firmware into units using a computer and cut returned units open for refurbishment using rotary tool

Requirements for Success

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of solder experience with SMT and TH components down to 0402 size
  • 2 years of mechanical assembly experience in MS Office, including Excel experience
  • Experience in SMT soldering and knowledge of soldering to an IPC610 class II standard
  • Ability to solder Through-hole components and wires, as well as SMT components
  • Ability to read and understand ISO work instructions and perform basic tasks on a computer
