Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $40,000 to $50,000 per year, depending on experience, with opportunities for career growth and professional development. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • $21-$26/visit hourly rate (DOE)
  • Part-time schedule with potential for full-time hours
  • Schedule flexibility (M-F 8am - 5pm)
  • Location: Omaha, NE

Job Responsibilities

This exciting opportunity involves working closely with occupational therapists to design and implement effective treatment plans that address patient needs and goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Addressing patient performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality
  • Selecting appropriate occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to direct interventions
  • Consulting with OT regarding changes in treatment
  • Understanding and adhering to established Agency policies and procedures
  • Participating in in-service education
  • Assisting in preparing clinical and progress notes
  • Improving or minimizing residual physical impairments of the patient
  • Teaching patients new ways of approaching tasks and educating them on breaking down activities into achievable components
  • Performing services planned, delegated, and supervised by the OT
  • Assessing patient homes and other environments and advising on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
  • Recommending adaptive equipment and training its use
  • Guiding and educating family members and caregivers

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, applicants must possess:

  • Graduation from a two-year college-level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Current licensure, registration, or certification in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with diverse personalities
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
  • Effective verbal and written communication and time management skills
  • Valid driver's license (clean record) and reliable transportation
  • Proof of current auto insurance and registration
  • Valid AZ fingerprint clearance card (we can assist)
  • Current CPR certification (we can help) and negative TB test (we can test)
