Job Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care to canine and feline patients through thorough examinations, accurate diagnoses, effective treatments, and personalized preventive care.
- Utilize a problem-solving approach to develop comprehensive problem lists, differential diagnoses, diagnostic plans, and targeted treatment strategies.
- Accurately document all patient information, including examinations, treatments, client interactions, and diagnoses, adhering to practice standards.
- Perform both routine and advanced surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, soft tissue surgeries, abdominal explorations, and mass removals.
- Conduct comprehensive dental care, including examinations, radiographic evaluations, extractions, and oral surgeries.
- Develop and manage hospitalization treatment plans, coordinating with referral facilities as necessary for overnight care and seamless patient transitions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- Licensure: Maintain an active veterinary license, current DEA and controlled substance licenses, and USDA Category Accreditation (or obtain within two months of hire).
- Surgical Skills: Exhibit proficiency in anesthesia and routine surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dental surgeries for dogs and cats.
- Compassion: Demonstrate a professional and empathetic demeanor in challenging or emotional situations.
