Postdoctoral Position in Virology and Microbiome Research

The Wylie lab at the American Society for Virology is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team. Our research focuses on understanding host-microbiome/virome interactions related to maternal and child health. We have generated large-scale genomics data sets to study the virome, microbiome, and host inflammatory response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data analysis and publication of results
  • Develop and implement computational methods for genomics data analysis
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and execute experiments
  • Communicate research findings through publications and presentations

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., virology, microbiology, bioinformatics)
  • Strong background in genomics and computational biology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
