RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator Medical Oncology Position

Reston Hospital Center is committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care. We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Medical Oncology team. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient delivery of patient care services. Your expertise will be instrumental in coordinating all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift. You will work collaboratively with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities:
Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
Assist with staff scheduling. Manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
At least 2 years of medical/surgical experience - charge nurse experience preferred.
