Job Overview - Floor Maintenance Specialist
  1. Key Responsibilities:

    1. Perform comprehensive cleaning of floor surfaces including sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping, scrubbing, stripping, buffing, waxing, and polishing using appropriate equipment.
    2. Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of cleaning equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
    3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of utility and custodial areas.
    4. Conduct thorough cleaning of various areas including rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
    5. Manage carpet care through vacuuming and deep cleaning.
    6. Clean walls, ceilings, woodwork, and windows, ensuring all surfaces are maintained to a high standard.
    7. Move furniture and equipment as required for effective cleaning.
    8. Adhere to all safety protocols while executing tasks.
    9. Complete additional duties as assigned.
    10. Be available for on-call emergencies after hours.
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, or hear. The employee frequently walks and uses hands for handling tasks. Qualifications

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED); 2 to 4 years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form and to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The ideal candidate should be adaptable and capable of multitasking, with strong customer service skills being essential.
