Job OverviewThe Construction Project Director will play a crucial role in the success and profitability of projects from the bidding phase through final completion. This position reports to the Group Manager and is responsible for initiating regular communication on bid challenges, risk issues, cost impacts, project conditions, and highlighting other concerns that may create scope or cost deviations from original estimations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting projects to achieve successful results for both clients and Miller Bros. Const., Inc.
- Providing exceptional client satisfaction
- Meeting project schedules
- Effective communication with all parties involved in the project
- Maintaining a safe working environment
- Preparing bids and estimated costs using HCSS
- Maximizing project profitability
- Accurately managing fiscal and administrative responsibilities
- Fostering positive attitudes and good working relationships with customers, employees, and the public
- Preparing, managing, and filing contract documents from project award to close-out
- Reviewing and updating cost reports
- E nsuring compliance with OSHA Standards, MSHA Standards, and MBC Safety Programs, as well as client/owner safety requirements
- Collaborating with Safety Directors, Superintendents, and Foremen to promote 'Site Sense' talks
- Reviewing and understanding project scopes, schedules, budgets, plans, specifications, and standard drawings
- Coordinating project activities and schedule demands
- Discussing resource requirements with Superintendents, Directors of Field Personnel, and Equipment Managers
- Reporting weekly project status to the Group Manager
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project management or estimation
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in heavy construction
- Excellent communication skills
This full-time position comes with a competitive annual salary of $70,000 - $95,000, depending on experience.
