Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, food service, and housekeeping
  • Provide emotional support and socialization to residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging
  • Manage resident behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful environment
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement resident care plans
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in a related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with elderly or individuals with dementia an asset
  • Basic reading and writing skills, with ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; lift and carry up to 50 pounds
