Job Summary

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Avera, you will play a critical role in performing complex in vivo and in vitro nuclear medicine procedures for patients. This position requires a strong foundation in medical imaging and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging and therapeutic treatments
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including gamma cameras and PET scanners
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as nuclear medicine or medical imaging
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or equivalent
  • Valid Iowa Permit to Practice license and Class B Commercial Driver's License
  • Successful completion of a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening
  • Completion of Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters
