About the Job:
  • You will provide treatment for beneficiaries with general psychiatric disorders in a variety of treatment settings, utilizing Tele-Mental Health as appropriate based on patient needs.
  • You must be skilled in Psychotherapy and Psychopharmacology, and able to provide a comprehensive clinical summary/psychiatric summary.
  • You will collaborate with approved fee-based community Mental Health (MH) inpatient programs to assist/coordinate discharge planning, medication, and follow-up appointments, as well as coordinate with ambulatory care services as necessary.
  • You will ensure accreditation requirements are met for all applicable survey and inspection processes, including compliance with JCAHO, CARF, and OIG.
  • You will document patient care in the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS), adhering to VA policy and procedures.
  • You will follow all VA guidelines regarding infection control and safety, and be assigned to treatment teams with responsibilities that include adherence to team meeting obligations.
