- Try cases to juries in a first chair role, utilizing strong advocacy and communication skills.
- Draft all necessary pleadings, papers, and briefs to advance litigation, demonstrating expertise in civil procedure and tort law.
- Conduct necessary legal research to support drafting activities, staying up-to-date on state and federal law and practice standards.
- Conduct discovery, motion practice, and analyze files as litigation progresses, exercising sound judgment and analytical skills.
- Advocate clients' positions in all forums and circumstances, maintaining a strong commitment to ethical standards.
- Stay current on state and federal law and practice standards, ensuring that our company remains compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Litigation experience is required, with a proven track record of success in civil litigation.
- Demonstrated experience preparing civil pleadings, motions, and discovery, showcasing expertise in litigation procedures.
- Solid knowledge of Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Professional Responsibility, as well as tort, contract, and insurance law.
- Ability to travel throughout Colorado, as needed, to represent our company's interests.
- Admission and good standing with the Colorado State Bar is required, as well as licensure to practice in the U.S. District Court for Colorado and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals within a year of hiring.
- Juris Doctor from an ABA Accredited law school is required, demonstrating a strong foundation in law and ethics.
