Role Responsibilities:
The Certified Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room by assisting the surgical team. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing sterile setups with necessary instruments, supplies, and medications for surgical procedures.
- Scrubbing in for various orthopedic surgeries.
- Maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring all surgical instruments are properly cared for.
- Conducting appropriate counts as per established protocols.
- Reviewing and adhering to surgeon preference cards.
- Assisting in the management of supplies and medications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent educational background.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist and BLS Certification.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with technology such as ADP and Microsoft Office.
