About the Job: The Shelter Coordinator is a critical role within the Housing Consortium of the East Bay's team. As a Shelter Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing daily support to our shelter participants and ensuring their well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor site cleanliness and keep offices clean and orderly.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras.
  • Supervise security officers.
  • Monitor site supplies, including utensils, food storage, participant move-in supplies.
  • Perform emergency response as needed, keeping participants and site safe and secure.
  • Perform regular Wellness Checks on participants. Inform site/program manager if a participant is ill or hasn't been seen for more than 72 hours.
  • Assist in unit inspections for safety and habitability.

Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalency (e.g., GED); associate degree-holder preferred
  • Good customer service skills (friendly, helpful, patient, reliable, dependable, responsible, and punctual)
  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects-which may change in priority from day today.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 per year.
